SINUS FILTERS
Sine-wave filters effectively protect the motor insulation of frequency converter-controlled drives, extending their service life. They reduce additional losses and noise emissions from the motor.
Using sine filters at the output of inverters improves the following points:
Motor cable: extension of the motor cable length up to max. 250m
Engine noise: Significant reduction of engine noise due to sinusoidal voltages between the phases
Motor heating: Reduction of the additional motor heating caused by the PWM voltage waveform
Motor winding: Winding insulation stress due to excessive dv/dt values. The value of 500 V/μs is maintained when using the sine wave filters and well below
Control modes: by far-reaching compensation of the phase position of current and voltage: enabling the operation of all types of regulations.
CURRENT COMPENSATION
The use of frequency converters and power converters creates higher harmonics on the grid, which cause additional losses, particularly in the capacitors of reactive power compensation systems. Using Jaspers current compensation filters minimizes the risk of overcurrent due to resonance and provides adequate protection for the capacitors used, as well as improving voltage quality.
